Terms & Conditions

1. General Information

  • Sissy's Sweets N Treats is a small, at-home baking business operating under New Jersey Cottage Food Law.

  • By placing an order, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions listed below.

 

2. Ordering

  • Orders must be placed Friday-Sunday and allow at least 3 days for pick-up/delivery.

  • Custom orders are not confirmed until a deposit or full payment (see below) has been received.

  • Rush orders may be accepted for an additional fee if availability allows.

 

3. Custom Order Payment & Deposits

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all custom orders.

  • Remaining balance is due 48 hours before pick-up or delivery.

  • Accepted payment methods: Cash, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, etc.

  • Failure to pay the remaining balance by the deadline automatically cancels the order and deposit is forfeited.

 

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of placing an order will receive a full refund. With Custom Orders: within 72 hours of placing the order, a refund will be issued, excluding the deposit.

  • Cancellations done after the allotted time listed above are non-refundable.

  • No refunds will be given for:

    • Changing your mind on flavors and or design

    • Not liking the taste or texture after pickup

    • Damage done after the order leaves my possession

 

5. Changes to Orders

  • Small changes (colors, quantities, flavors) must be requested at least 2 days before pickup. (Might change pick-up/delivery date)

  • Major design changes may not be accepted last-minute.

 

6. Pick-Up Policy

  • Pickup is available at 96 Mercer St. Phillipsburg NJ at the scheduled time.

  • If you are running late, please notify me.

  • Orders not picked up within 30 minutes of scheduled time may be left outside if contact cannot be made.

  • The bakery is not responsible for damage caused after pickup, including:

    • Heat exposure

    • Mishandling during transport

    • Not storing items properly

 

7. Delivery Policy

  • Delivery is available locally. (Alpha, Lopatcong, Pohatcong, & Stewratsville)

  • Delivery fee: $5 flat rate.

  • Someone must be present to receive the order. If no one is available, the order may be returned and a second delivery attempt fee ($10) will apply.

  • The bakery is not responsible for damage after delivery.

 

8. Allergies & Food Safety

  • Items are prepared in a home kitchen that may come into contact with common allergens including:

    • Milk, eggs, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens.

  • Customers are responsible for notifying the bakery of any allergies when placing an order.

  • Products are not guaranteed to be allergen-free.

 

9. Custom Designs & Photography

  • I reserve the right to use photos of all baked goods for marketing, social media, and portfolio use.

  • Exact design replication is not guaranteed. I will match the theme and style as closely as possible but artistic variation may occur.

 

10. Weather & Transportation

  • For outdoor events and warm weather, customer is responsible for:

    • Proper storage

    • Keeping baked goods out of heat/sun

  • Refunds will not be issued for weather-related issues after pickup/delivery.

 

11. Satisfaction Guarantee

  • If you have a concern with your order, contact me within 24 hours with photos.

  • Once the item is consumed or discarded, no adjustments/refunds can be offered.
